Starz Series POWER Shuts Down Production After On-Set Accident Resulted In Death

According to Variety, the Starz series POWER has shut down production in Brooklyn this morning after an accident resulted in the unfortunate death of a production assistant. Pedro Jimenez, 63, was hit by a 2006 Ford Explorer at 4:20 AM ET while setting up traffic cones for a shoot. The production is shut down for un undetermined amount of time.

In a statement, Starz says, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our 'Power' family. Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez' family as we work to fully understand what has happened."
