At this year's Emmy Awards, NEWSROOM showrunner Aaron Sorkin revealed to Indiewire that he is still considering whether he wants to commit to writing another season of the hit HBO drama. "I need time to think about it," Sorkin said when asked about the possibility of a third season.

The second season of the show could have very well served as a series finale, with Sorkin wrapping up the future of almost every character and plot line. HBO recently reported that they were still 'in discussions' with Sorkin as to the fate of the drama.

Sorkin is currently working on a musical as well as an upcoming biopic on computer wiz Steve Jobs.
