Director James Wan turned to Twitter yesterday to confirm reports that Patrick Wilson has joined the cast of his superhero film AQUAMAN. Check out the tweet below:

The actor will portray Aquaman's half-brother, Orm Curry who holds a life-long jealousy towards his sibling. In retaliation, he transforms himself into super villain 'Ocean Master.'

Wilson and Wan have worked together on several past projects, including The Conjuring and Insidious. This is not the first time the actor will be featured in a comic book big screen adaptation. In 2009, he portrayed Nite Owl in WATCHMAN.

Wilson's vocal talents can be heard on a duet with Barbra Streisand on her recently released album 'Encore.' His Broadway credits include ALL MY SONS, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK and THE FULL MONTY.
