NBC has finished #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers for the primetime week of April 6-12, with gains versus the same week last year of +7% in adults 18-49 rating (1.5 vs. 1.4) and +16% in total viewers (6.3 million vs. 5.4 million). NBC ranked #2 or tied for #2 among the Big 4 networks for the week in every key ratings measure.

"The Voice" delivered three of the week's top five rankings among primetime entertainment telecasts on the Big 4. "The Voice" also accounted for two of the top three Big 4 entertainment shows in adults and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 25-54.

In adults 18-49, Monday's "Voice" ranked #2 among the week's prime entertainment programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, Tuesday's "Voice" was #3 and Wednesday special "Voice" ranked #5. Joining "The Voice" in the week's top 25 were "Chicago Fire" (tied for #10), "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #16), "A.D. THE BIBLE Continues" (tied for #19) and "Chicago P.D." (tied for #23).

For the week, NBC averaged a 1.5 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

For the 2014-15 season to date, NBC ranks #1 or tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 as well as men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, and running within 8% of its year-ago Olympics-boosted average (9.0 million vs. 9.7 million), making this season and last NBC's two top-scoring seasons in total viewers at this point since the 2006-07 season. This is the second year in a row NBC has ranked #2 in total viewers at this point in the season, marking first two times since 2003-04 that NBC has ranked as high as #2 in total viewers at this point.

Primetime averages for the week of April 6-12 in adults 18-49 are: CBS, 2.1/7; NBC, 1.5/5; ABC, 1.3/4; Fox, 1.0/3; and CW, 0.4/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 10.6 million; NBC, 6.3 million; ABC, 5.7 million; Fox, 3.6 million; and CW, 1.1 million.

"Most current" averages for the season to date are: NBC, 2.6/8; CBS, 2.4/8; ABC, 2.2/7; Fox, 2.0/6; and CW, 0.8/3. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 11.4 million; NBC, 9.0 million; ABC, 7.9 million; Fox, 6.0 million; and CW, 2.1 million.

NBC highlights for the week of April 6-12:

Monday

"The Voice" (2.9/9 in 18-49, 11.0 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the night's #1 non-sports telecast on the Big 4 networks in every key demographic. The Voice" ranked #1in the time period in women 18-49 and 25-54.

"Live Plus Three Day" Ratings: "The Voice" grew by +24% in 18-49 rating going from "live plus same day" to "live plus three day" Nielsens (from a 2.93 rating to a 3.62) and by 2.0 million viewers overall (from 11.0 million to 13.0 million).

"Live Plus Seven Day" Ratings: Season to date, first-run editions of Monday's "Voice" have grown in L+7 vs. L+SD by +25% in 18-49 rating (from a 3.45 to a 4.32) and 2.2 million viewers overall (12.4 million to 14.6 million).

Upscale: "The Voice" was the night's most upscale non-sports show on the Big 4, indexing at 109 among in adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes, L+SD).

"The Night Shift" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew +17% week to week in adults 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.2) and was the only non-sports show on the Big 4 Monday night to improve week to week in 18-49 despite CBS's basketball coverage. In total viewers, "The Night Shift grew week to week by +10% (5.5 million vs. 5.0 million) to a five-week high (best since March 2, 6.1 million viewers). L+3: "The Night Shift" grew by +29% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (1.38 to 1.78). In total viewers, "Night Shift" grew by 1.3 million persons (from 5.5 million to 6.8 million). L+7: "The Night Shift" has increased by an average of +37% in 18-49 rating this season (from a 1.40 to a 1.92) and 1.7 million viewers overall (5.6 million to 7.3 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Tuesday

NBC won Tuesday night among the Big 4 networks in every key demographic and decisively led six of six half-hours through primetime.

"The Voice" (2.7/9 in 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) was the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and nearly all other key demographics. "The Voice" finished within a tenth of a point of the year-ago first live Tuesday telecast in 18-49 (2.8/9 from 8-9:01 p.m. on April 22, 2014) and within 2% in total viewers (11.1 million vs. 11.3 million). L+3: "The Voice" increased by +18% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (2.70 to 3.18). In total viewers, "Voice" grew by 1.3 million persons (from 11.1 million to 12.4 million). L+7: Originals of Tuesday's "Voice" have grown by an average of +25% in 18-49 rating this season (from a 3.40 to a 4.25) and 2.1 million viewers overall (12.7 million to 14.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Chicago Fire" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 8.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) jumped +25% versus its prior original of three weeks earlier (2.0 vs. 1.6 on March 17) and was up +21% in total viewers (8.4 million vs. 7.0 million). "Chicago Fire" won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and was #1 or tied for #1 among those nets in every key demo. "Chicago Fire" originals have now won the time period four consecutive times among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49. Among the ABC-CBS-NBC dramas in the hour, "Chicago Fire" won by a +54% margin in adults 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.3 for CBS's #2 "Person of Interest"). L+3: "Chicago Fire" grew in L+3 vs. L+SD by +44% in 18-49 rating (1.98 to 2.85) and in total viewers by 2.9 million persons (8.4 million to 11.3 million). L+7: "Chicago Fire" first-runs have increased by an average +60% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.87 to a 2.99) and 3.5 million viewers overall (7.5 million to 11.0 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Wednesday

NBC ranked #2 Wednesday night in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49 (tie).

A special Wednesday edition of "The Voice" (2.2/8 in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) was the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 networks in women 25-54 and tied for #1 in women 18-49. "The Voice" was up +83% versus NBC's time-period average this season in adults 18-49 (2.3 vs. 1.2, L+SD) and up +39% in total viewers (9.642 million vs. 6.930 million). From half-hour to half-hour, "The Voice" grew in every key measures while rival unscripted series "Survivor" and "American Idol" were flat or down half-hour to half-hour in all key categories. L+3: The Wednesday "Voice" grew in L+3 vs. L+SD by +22% in 18-49 rating (2.17 to 2.65) and in total viewers by 1.4 million persons (9.6 million to 11.0 million).

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) jumped +20% week to week in adults 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.5) and was up +38% versus two weeks earlier (1.8 vs. 1.3 on March 25). In total viewers, "SVU" grew by +17% versus the prior week (7.3 million vs. 6.3 million) and +23% versus two weeks ago (7.3 million vs. 5.9 million). "Law & Order: SVU" captured its top rating since Nov. 19 (1.8) and its biggest overall audience since Feb. 25 (7.7 million). In the time period, "Law & Order: SVU" tied for #2 among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 among those nets in women 18-34. L+3: "SVU" increased in L+3 vs. L+SD by +48% in 18-49 rating (1.76 to 2.61) and in total viewers by 2.2 million persons (7.3 million to 9.5 million). L+7: "SVU" originals this season are increasing by an average of +70% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.62 to a 2.76) and 2.9 million viewers overall (7.4 million to 10.3 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Chicago P.D." (1.5/5 in 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the time period among the ABC-CBS-NBC dramas in adults 18-49 and was #1 or tied for #1 among those shows in most key demos. "Chicago P.D." has now finished #1 or tied for #1 among the hour's ABC-CBS-NBC dramas in adults 18-49 with 11 of its last 12 originals. L+3: "Chicago P.D." grew in L+3 vs. L+SD by +48% in 18-49 rating (1.51 to 2.23) and in total viewers by 2.5 million persons (6.7 million to 9.2 million). L+7: "Chicago P.D." originals are growing by an average of +69% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.59 to a 2.69) and more than 3.3 million viewers overall (7.1 million to 10.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Thursday

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) captured the show's highest adult 18-49 rating for an encore since Wednesday, June 18, 2014 (1.1 from 9-10 p.m.).

A rebroadcast of "The Blacklist" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in most key measures and grew in men 18-34.

"Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) reported the network's top 18-49 rating in the slot in nine weeks (since the "Allegiance" premiere on Feb. 5, 1.1) and the biggest overall audience for NBC in the slot in 10 weeks (since the "Parenthood" finale on Jan. 29, 5.5 million viewers overall). Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Dateline NBC" grew half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, while the ABC and CBS competition was flat or down in all key categories. "Dateline" won the 10:30 half-hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.1 for CBS's "Elementary") erasing a 0.4 margin for "Elementary during the prior half-hour (1.0 vs. 1.4). In adults 25-54, "Dateline" moved into a tie for #1 at 10:30 (1.6 vs. 1.6 for "Elementary"), eliminating a 0.7 margin for "Elementary the prior half-hour (1.4 vs. 2.1).

Friday

"Grimm" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) captured its highest rating since March 20 (1.1) and equaled its highest rating since Feb. 6 (1.2 at 9 p.m.). "Grimm" was up week to week by +10% in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.0) and +6% in total viewers (4.8 million vs. 4.5 million). In the time period, "Grimm" tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 outright among those nets in women 18-49 (with a 1.3 rating). L+3: The previous week's "Grimm" increased in L+3 vs. L+SD by +77% in 18-49 rating (0.99 to 1.75) and in total viewers by 2.0 million persons (4.5 million to 6.5 million). L+7: "Grimm" first-runs are growing by an average of +86% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.21 to a 2.25) and more than 2.7 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 7.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the slot among the Big 4 networks in women 18-49 and women 18-34. L+7: Friday's "Dateline" is increasing by an average of +25% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.24 to a 1.55) and 946,000 viewers overall (6.2 million to 7.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Saturday

"Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" averaged a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports telecast of "Premier Boxing Champions," with bouts featuring Danny "Swift" Garcia vs. Lamont Peterson, and "Irish" Andy Lee vs. Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 8:30-11 p.m. ET), increased in total viewers every half-hour, peaking at 3.4 million viewers from 10:30-11 p.m. ET. "PBC" grew from its first half-hour to its fifth by +100% in adults 18-49 (0.5 to 1.0) and +73% or 1.4 million persons in total viewers (2.0 million to 3.4 million).

NBC tied for #1 for the night among the Big 4 networks in adults, men and women 18-34.

Sunday

"Dateline NBC" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) grew +20% from its first half-hour to its second in adults 18-49 (0.5 to 0.6).

An encore telecast of "A.D. THE BIBLE Continues" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew +25% from its first half-hour to its second in adults 18-49 (0.8 to 1.0). The 8 p.m. rebroadcast also increase half-hour to half-hour by +27% in adults 25-54 (1.1 to 1.4) and +75% in adults 18-34 (0.4 to 0.7).

"A.D. THE BIBLE Continues" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 7.8 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) was the #1 scripted show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and #1 primetime show overall on those nets excluding CBS's "60 Minutes," which followed a Masters golf overrun. "A.D." built by +89% on its lead-in in adults 18-49 (1.7 vs. 0.9) and by +64% in total viewers (7.8 million vs. 4.7 million). "A.D." was up +55% versus NBC's slot average with originals for THE FIVE weeks before "A.D.'s" debut (1.7 vs. 1.1) and up +68% in total viewers (7.8 million vs. 4.6 million). L+3: The previous week's "A.D. THE BIBLE Continues" increased in L+3 vs. L+SD by +12% in 18-49 rating (2.33 to 2.60) and in total viewers by 1.0 million persons (9.7 million to 10.7 million).

"American Odyssey" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC, within 0.1 of a point of #1 among those networks (0.8 vs. 0.9 for ABC's "Revenge"). "American Odyssey" tied for #1 among those networks in adults 18-34. L+3: The prior week's "American Odyssey" increased in L+3 vs. L+SD by +16% in 18-49 rating (1.14 to 1.32) and in total viewers by 1.2 million persons (5.4 million to 6.6 million).
