NBCUniversal News Group Honored with 2 Webby Nominations, 3 Official Honors

The NBCUniversal News Group has been honored by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences with two 2013 Webby Award nominations and three Official Webby Honorees.
NBC News has been nominated for a 2013 Webby Award in the "Social/News & Information" category for Ann Curry's #26Acts of Kindness campaign. Created by Ann Curry to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, the #26Acts social media campaign encourages everyone to perform random acts of kindness and share them using the hashtag #26Acts to bring light to their local communities.NBC News Digital's iVillage has also been nominated for a 2013 Webby Award in the "How-To & DIY" category for their series, "My Best Idea."Both NBC News and MSNBC have also been selected as "Official Honorees" in the "News & Information" category for "NBC News Social Media" and "The Social Election: MSNBC 2012;" and in the "Documentary: Series" category for "Hidden Planet with Richard Engel."Social/News & Information
