Jerry Lewis Set to Star in THE TRUST with Nicolas Cage

According to Deadline.com, Jerry Lewis snagged a lead role in the upcoming film, 'The Trust'. The film is currently shooting in Las Vegas with Ben and Alex Brewer directing and also starring Nicolas Cage, Elijah Wood and Sky Ferreira. Cage and Wood play two corrupt cops who are stuck working the EVIDENCE room of the Las Vegas police department. When one discovers there is a vault full of drug money sealed in the back of a convenience store, both cops team up to pull a heist. Lewis will play the father of Cage's crooked cop character.

Ben Brewer and Adam Hirsch wrote the script and Highland Film Group is handling international sales. Saban Films acquired the North American rights at AFM. Molly Hassell and Braxton Pope are producing and the film is a Hassell Free Production in association with Electric Shadow Fund, the latter of which is financing, and Prettybird Pictures. Mike Nilon is exec producer with HFG's Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier.

Jerry Lewis is an American comedian, actor, singer, film producer, screenwriter and film director. He is known for his slapstick humor in film, television, stage and radio. He was originally paired up with Dean Martin in 1946, forming the famed comedy team of Martin and Lewis. Lewis is currently being represented by APA.
