E! Online reports that GLEE's Jayma Mays, who just announced that the series upcoming fifth season will be her last with the show, took a moment to remember her late co-star Cory Monteith at The Smurfs 2 premiere.

"He was such a fun guy to be around and I have nothing but amazing, wonderful memories of working with him," she said. "I have those memories to always take forward with me."

Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13th, the result of an accidental drug overdose. In recent weeks, his fellow Glee stars, including Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale have shared their grief through instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Others, including Matthew Morrison and Chord Overstreet, have expressed their sadness by dedicating musical performances to their fallen friend.

Mays will join CBS' upcoming comedy series The Millers in her first role as a series regular since her recurring portrayal of Emma on GLEE. Mays has also appeared on The League, How I Met Your Mother, Ugly Betty and Heroes. Mays' film credits include The Smurfs, Last Weekend, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Epic Movie, Flags of Our Fathers, Red Eye and more.

FOX will premiere GLEE's fifth season on September 26.
