Others, including Matthew Morrison and Chord Overstreet, have expressed their sadness by dedicating musical performances to their fallen friend.

Mays will join CBS' upcoming comedy series The Millers in her first role as a series regular since her recurring portrayal of Emma on GLEE. Mays has also appeared on The League, How I Met Your Mother, Ugly Betty and Heroes. Mays' film credits include The Smurfs, Last Weekend, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Epic Movie, Flags of Our Fathers, Red Eye and more.

FOX will premiere GLEE's fifth season on September 26.
