Halle Berry to Direct and Star in MMA Drama BRUISED

Halle Berry will make her directorial debut with the MMA drama Bruised, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Oscar winner will team up up with John Wick producer Basil Iwanyk and his Thunder Road Pictures for the film.

The film also stars Berry, who plays a disgraced MMA fighter, Jackie "Justice." When 6-year-old Manny, THE SON Jackie walked out on years ago, returns to her life, she has to conquer her own demons, face one of the fiercest rising stars of the MMA world and fight to become the mother that she thinks Manny deserves.

Bruised was written by Michelle Rosenfarb and will be produced by Entertainment 360 and Linda Gottlieb. Riverstone is financing and Erica Lee serving as exec producer.

Berry will next be seen in John Wick 3.
