WESTWORLD will soon be coming to HBO.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered its television adaptation of the 1973 film, starring Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris and more, to series.

A 2015 start date is currently being eyed for the project, which comes from J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk's Bad Robot Productions.

Sources have confirmed that "the show's androids - played by castmembers including James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton - can be killed off and return with completely different personas, allowing actors to play many characters."

The cast also includes Miranda Otto, Demetrius Grosse, Kyle Bornheimer, Currie Graham, Lena Georgas, Steven Ogg, Timothy Lee DePriest, and Eddie Rouse.

WESTWORLD takes place in a high-tech amusement park, highlighted by its life-like androids. WESTWORLD was previously adapted into the 1980 drama series BEYONDWESTWORLD, which also incorporated elements from the film's sequel FUTUREWORLD.
