Dave Asprey Says Trolls Die 6-8 Years Earlier on GOOD NIGHT WITH BEN GLEIB
The biohacking author details a longevity plan and a strategy for dealing with online critics.
Dave Asprey laid out a plan to live to 180 during his latest appearance on GOOD NIGHT WITH BEN GLEIB, then pivoted to a warning about anger's toll on longevity. Asprey told host Ben Gleib that supplements and biohacking protocols do not matter much if a person is chronically angry, citing research that trolls die six to eight years earlier than average. He also described what he called a revenge system for dealing with online haters, characterized in the episode as genuinely diabolical.
Asprey has appeared on GOOD NIGHT WITH BEN GLEIB before, where he has been described as the father of biohacking and a four-time New York Times bestselling author focused on optimizing health and longevity through diet, technology and lifestyle changes. In an earlier Nightcap segment, he told Gleib that he was sick and headed toward disability in his mid-20s, and that spending time around 80-year-olds who were reversing signs of aging pushed him toward the work that defines his career. He pointed to one 88-year-old with more energy at 11:30PM than he had as the turning point.
The trolls-and-anger discussion builds on Asprey's recurring focus on longevity science across his visits to the show, following a prior appearance in which he detailed a year-long self-experiment in Taoist retention practices and its effects on his own habits.
Gleib has continued pairing Asprey's longevity claims with pointed questioning during their conversations. Dave Asprey previously detailed a related self-experiment on the show, where Gleib similarly pressed him on the practicality of his methods.
