On this week's episode of THE LEAGUE, Lane reappears, and Taco creates his own form of timekeeping. "Taco Standard Time" also makes comments on the Ray Rice/NFL SCANDAL using cats of course. Read on for all the information on this week's episode, but beware of SPOILERS!

Pete gets a call from Lane (from S4 E8: "The Anchor Baby), who's calling from a burner. Pete eats his lunch while on the phone with him, which angers Lane. Later at the bar, Andre tells the guys that he's bathing with cat food scented soap in order to get on good terms with M'Lady again-he's even going to therapy with her. Ruxin tells the guys he has two tickets to the Bears-Packers game, and he tells them that whomever he takes depends on "who steps up." Taco comes, angry that the guys didn't show up to the movie, but they tell him it's 8:30, and not 9:30, and that he must have forgotten about Daylight Savings Time. Taco has no idea what Daylight Savings Time is, and they have trouble explaining it to him, and Taco tells them that it's a stupid concept.

The next day, Lane comes into Ruxin's office, and tells him about his varied and strange problems. Lane sees the tickets on his desk and asks to go with Ruxin, and when he lies and says he can't go, so Lane takes his tickets.

That night at the McArthur's, Andre is scratched all over because of M'Lady and Jenny tells him that he's in an abusive relationship. Taco comes in and tells them about Taco Standard Time (TST). He tells them that he's pro-choice about time, so he rolled his clock back 14 hours and 39 minutes.

The group finds out that Lane tried to commit suicide. Ruxin says it's selfish that Lane took his Packers tickets when he knew that he was going to commit suicide and not be able to use them. At the hospital, Ruxin visits Lane to get his Packers tickets back, but Lane does not remember what he did with them, since all earthly possessions ceased to matter before he attempted suicide.

Kevin and Jenny's alarm goes off at 7:43, but it's actually 10:04, thanks to Taco Standard Time. Because of this, Kevin shows up late to work, and his boss yells at him and tells him he messed up bad. Kevin tells his boss that his friend tried to commit suicide in order to get in less trouble. His boss gives him the rest of the day off.

Pete and Ruxin meet Lane to discuss his suicide note (that is 13 pages long), but of course neither of them read it. Lane asks them what they thought of the note, and Pete and Ruxin lie, making it obvious they didn't read it. Angry, Lane decides to read it to them right then and there. As he is reading, their food comes, and they start eating, which enrages Lane and he leaves. As he is leaving, he tells Ruxin that if he wants the tickets back he has to read the suicide note. Ruxin and Pete challenge each other to see who reads the note first so in turn to see who gets the tickets.

Andre visits Kevin at work and tells him his situation with M'Lady has gotten out of hand. He shows Kevin a surveillance video of M'Lady and him in an elevator, and starts telling him how he just wants to give up and that it's over. Kevin's boss walks by and overhears Andre speak. This leads his boss to think Andre is the suicidal friend. His boss comes in, and introduces himself to Andre and tells him not to give up. Taco comes into Kevin's office and gives him and Andre Taco Standard Time Watches. Kevin's boss comes back in with a doctor from the hospital, because he mistook the cat scratches as suicide attempts and tells the doctor that Andre is still a danger to himself. Kevin doesn't stop his boss and the doctor from taking Andre to the hospital.

Pete is trying to read the suicide note, but just can't do it. He asks a co-worker to read it and ask him what he thinks, which makes his co-worker thinks he's suicidal. Pete's co-worker showed the note to his boss, since he thought Pete wrote it. His boss tells him to go home to get better Andre is now at a depression awareness group, but is confused as to why he's there. Lane calls Andre, upset because it seems like Andre is cutting him out. The support group tells Andre that he needs to let go of M'Lady, but when the support group realizes that M'Lady was a cat, they get upset and tell him he's a "whiny, superficial, petty little man." (Which, I can't really disagree with.)

Kevin comes in and shows Ruxin, Pete, and Jenny the surveillance video of Andre and his cat. In the video the cat attacks him in the elevator. They are trying to figure out what to do, when they all see that Lane sent out a suicide tweet. Taco meets up with Lane, who is in his car about to commit suicide. Lane asks why Taco didn't meet him this morning, and Taco tells him that "it is this morning," since he's on TST. Pete and Ruxin find Lane and Taco passed out in Lane's car, not dead, but high. Lane tells them that Taco is investing in his new career endeavor. Lane tells them that he gave Taco one of the tickets and that since Pete is Lane's best friend, he gets to go with Taco. The episode ends with Lane making brunch plans with Ruxin on Football Sunday. (Stinks for Ruxin.)

Only THE LEAGUE can use Andre and his cat to comment on the Ray Rice scandal. They cleverly inserted the bit about a surveillance tape of Andre getting attacked by M'Lady to reference the NFL scandal. The writers always think of clever ways to discuss issues that are occurring in the NFL, like the Redskins controversy they commented on last week. I also loved the use of "garbage time" in tonight's episode. It was a nice allusion to the sport that they used in their everyday lives. The show is very good at combining the fictional world with the real-life world of NFL.

I personally do not see what's wrong with eating while someone is talking. It might just be me, and my social ineptitude, but I don't find it disrespectful, and I was all for Pete and Ruxin eating. Maybe that just makes me a horrible person, too. Whoops. I also very much agree with Taco, Daylight Savings Time is stupid! And I don't really know what the purpose is for it today, too. Can anyone out there explain to me what's the significance of it in 2014?

It was also nice to see the reappearance of Lane, played by the hilarious Zach Woods. Lane is such an over the top character, which made for a very funny episode. Of course the show had to use suicide as a topic for the episode, too, which can seem insensitive, but I think they did it in a way that commented not on the act itself, but how people react to it, which was a smart decision. It showed how some people can react insensitively to those who are depressed or suicidal, and they made it obvious that it isn't the right way to act towards those people.

Favorite Quotes from the Episode:

Ruxin- "Daylight Savings Time does sound stupider than Taco."

Lane about his mother- "She's a bitch, but I need her"

Ruxin- "This is the most inconsiderate suicide attempt I have ever seen."

Andre talking about his ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video- "It was an homage to Silence of the Lambs"

Support group member to Andre- "I'm sexually super confused too, and my friends hate me as well."

Talking about Lane's Suicide Tweet- Kevin: "So what do we do know, do we retweet it?"

Jenny: "I think we favorite it."

Taco- "Yeah, Bears vs. Packages, here I come."
