A Daryl Dixon-centric episode where he's sleeveless in the woods? Yes, please! Tonight we got a little update on what happened with Daryl, Sasha and Abraham before they head home safely (thank goodness) to Alexandria.

As they are leading the herd of walkers away from camp, Daryl, Sasha and Abraham are suddenly attacked by gunfire and people in vehicles chasing them. This causes them to separate. Sasha and Abraham are able to escape and take refuge in an insurance office. Sasha wants to sleep and Abraham wants to stand guard, but not before Sasha tells Abraham that even though she was out of control for a while, she has regained it. Meanwhile, she's pretty sure he's lost it. While she sleeps, he explores a little and finds some military weaponry and some cigars. Through seeing a soldier walker, he realizes that Sasha was right and he loves nothing more than a woman who speaks the truth. He tells her so and make his intentions clear to her. He wants her... all of her. Poor Rosita, she has no idea the heartache she is in for. Have no fear, Eugene is still single. Although Abraham should probably watch his back, everyone Sasha loves tends to meet an untimely demise.

Daryl, meanwhile, is trapped in the woods with injuries sustained from falling off his bike. He is taken captive by three siblings in the woods who are sure they are his enemy. He soon figures out that they are running from the people who attacked his own group. He is able to make a break for it with his bag, but doesn't get far when he finds insulin in the bag. Since Daryl is Daryl, he returns to give them the medicine. The attackers appear again in the woods and although we are not treated to their faces, their voices are heard. Greg and company converse with Wade (the leader) as it is they who Greg and his sisters are running from. Thanks to some quick Daryl Dixon thinking, the group leaves and Greg fills Daryl in on this particular group of people who tried to create a safe place, but it wound up turning ugly. (Woodbury, anyone?) When the youngest sister, Tina, is killed suddenly by a walker, Daryl offers the other two a place in Alexandria, but they turn on him stealing his crossbow and motorcycle. Daryl warns him that they will pay and I am SURE he is correct. He soon finds a truck and is able to rescue Sasha and Abraham. On their way home, they hear an SOS call over the radio.

Okay, so whose voice was it? Yes, it sure sounded an awful lot like Glenn, even though everyone from the show is saying it is not. But it really did sound like him, didn't it? Who else could it be? I'm also hearing that this mysterious new group of enemies called the "Saviors" who is the army for the infamous villain from the comic book, Negan. Considering that we just learned that Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast to play, Negan, this all falls into place. They don't seem all too friendly and there sure is a lot of talk about people getting on their knees, do with that what you will.

I do fear for young Greg and sister (did they say her name?). It is a bad idea to cross Daryl Dixon, especially after he not only came back to give you Tina's Insulin, but also saved you from the people you were hiding from. Dear Greg, not a great move. And poor Daryl, again without a motorcycle and without his beloved crossbow.

So now, (nearly) all of them are making their way back to Alexandria to reunite and discuss the aftermath of the plan, which to us has been nearly six weeks, but to them, not more than a few days, right? Believe it or not, there are only two episodes of THE WALKING DEAD in 2015. Will we find out Glenn's fate definitively before then? Will the herd of walkers outside Alexandria break through? Will someone put Father Gabriel down? Will the wolf that Morgan is holding captive be revealed? Will anyone learned that any time flowers are involved, bad things happen? A lot of questions to be answered and I'm going to guess that very little, if any, will be. One thing is for sure, if the winter finale is anything like the premiere of Season Six, we are in for a very long winter... and winter is definitely coming.

Here's a preview for next week's all new episode:
