Actress Marcia Strassman Has Died at Age 66

Following a long battle with breast cancer, Marcia Strassman has died at age 66.

The actress appeared in a variety of films and TV shows, best known for her roles in Welcome Back Kotter and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, as well as the sequel, Honey, I Blew Up the Kid. Additionally, Strassman served on the national board of the Screen Actors Guild.

Friend of Strassman, singer Cher Tweeted,

"Wanted U2 No,a Funny,Talented Friend Died.Not4U 2feel sorry 4me,but she died alone, &Energy from U is powerful..."

Marcia A. Strassman (April 28, 1948 - October 25, 2014) was an American actress best known for her roles as Julie Kotter in the TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter and Diane Szalinski in the 1989 feature film Honey, I Shrunk the Kids; its sequel Honey, I Blew Up the Kid; and the 3-D film spin-off Honey, I Shrunk the Audience! which was shown at several Disney theme parks through mid-2010.
