"GMA" beat "Today" (4.524 million) nearly tripling its lead versus its lead from the previous week (+180% - 137,000 vs. 49,000 on w/o 9/26/16).
"GMA" built on the prior week (4.420 million, 1.495 million and 1.068 million, respectively, for w/o 9/26/16) in Total Viewers (+5%), Adults 25-54 (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%), hitting season highs with its best numbers in nearly 4 months in all key target demos- since w/o 6/13/16. In addition, "GMA" grew the most in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 and stood as the only morning newscast to grow in Adults 18-49 week to week as "CBS This Morning" (-1%/-2%-6%) was down, while "Today" was mixed (+4%/+1%/-3%). Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, leading "Today" by 151,000 (4.560 million vs. 4.409 million) to take the top spot at this point of the season for the 5th year in a row. During the week, "GMA" outperformed "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+31%/+1.106 million), Adults 25-54 (+40%/+439,000) and Adults 18-49 (+40%/+317,000).
