Palm Beach Photographic Centre to Open NATURE 24/7 Exhibition, 11/23

By: Nov. 06, 2015
Fatima NeJame, president and chief executive officer of the world renowned Palm Beach Photographic Centre (PBPC), today announced that the nonprofit organization's next exhibition will enable visitors to take a visual eco-tour through Florida landscapes.

NATURE 24/7 Spotlighting the artistry of photographers David Fitzsimmons, Matt Stock and Mac Stone November 23 through January 2

David Fitzsimmons - Curious Critters: Larger Than Life

The award-winning Sigma Pro photographer goes eye-to-eye with some of North America's most amazing animals, birds and butterflies, fish and frogs, all stunningly captured in his award-winning book Curious Critters: Larger Than Life. After seeing his work, people will never ever look at nature in the same old way. Ever since opening FitzSimmons Photography 17 years ago, he has been committed to artistic integrity and environmental conservation. This exhibition is being sponsored by Sigma. Note: Sigma representative Brett Wells will be in the Photo Centre's PRO Shop all day on Monday, November 23, and Sigma will be offering specials on their quality photo equipment.)

Matt Stock - Nature Dusk to Dawn

As a night photographer and light artist, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre's current artist-in-residence captures awe-inspiring shots of Florida, each one representing dozens of illuminated exposures taken over many hours that were later combined into a single luminous image. While people often look at his works like Elysian Fields and think it happened by chance, it existed in theory over a year and a half before the environmental conditions were just right. "Rarely in life do ideas and dreams match reality," says Stock.

Mac Stone - Florida Everglades

A fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers, Stone grew up exploring the springs, swamps and hammocks of Central Florida. Through his extraordinary pictures, he strives to start new conversations and expose the dynamic relationship between mankind and the natural world. His book Everglades: America's Wetland was published last year, winning a Silver Medal at the Florida Book Awards, and his first TED talk in March 2015 has already received more than a half million views.
