MAD JUNE PHOTO

BIO:
In October 2009, Indie Week music festival featured Montreal’s rock band Mad June. The band has had a very special connection with Toronto ever since and considers the city their second home. Last March, when the girls sold out their Canadian Music Week showcase at Cherry Cola’s, it was clear that the feeling was mutual and that Toronto had adopted them as their own. Now with new songs on the way, Mad June is ready to reach out to the world! In the last year, Mad June has grown from a quartet, to an impressive six-piece band with a striking image. Their live performances, music and songs have evolved into something bigger that condenses the band’s raw energy, hooky melodies and powerful lyrics into a wall of sound that will get you up and dancing, head banging or jumping around… take your pick…. Either way they will get under your skin and leave a lasting impression. The all-girls band have the songs and the stage presence to make new fans everywhere they play. Over the years, they have shared the stage with Courage My Love, Rival Sons, Tupelo Honey, Midnight Romeo, Said The Whale, The Little Black Dress and many other amazing acts. Because of their fans dedication, they won two of the most prestigious contests including Ourstage.com Lilith Fair’s local talent search for Eastern Canada and Montebello's Rocker contest where they played alongside Alexisonfire, The Misfits, Voivod and many more. The media has compared Mad June to bands such as Block Party, Blonde Redhead and even Radiohead. And after recording their single November in 2011, their multi-platinum award winner producer, Jeff Dalziel, described Mad June the best by saying that they are a mix between U2, The Ramones and Arcade Fire. Haven’t heard Mad June??!!! Make sure you go check them out and be the first one to tell your friends… before they tell you!!
