Mary Lambert, the singer featured on the chorus of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' latest hit, 'Same Love', has emerged with a song of her own on the subject of gay rights. Below, check out the live performance on Seattle's KEXP radio station.

Using the haunting refrain from the previous tune, Lambert's new song, titled 'She Keeps Me Warm' features violins and piano along with her stirring vocals. Lambert, who is a lesbian, shared that she drew inspiration for the chorus from her experiences growing up gay in an abusive Christian home.

Macklemore's 'Same Love' has experienced a spike in air time following the recent repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act and Prop 8. The song was recently certified platinum.
