The "Unconditionally" video marks a departure for Katy from her previous candy-coated and narrative-driven videos. Directed by Brent Bonacorso over 3 days in London, the video is a metaphorical exploration on the theme of true love and its impact, through dramatic imagery and a beautifully choreographed, classically-costumed dance performance.
