Ural Thomas & The Pain New Single 'The Right Time' Premieres at Downbeat

Tender Loving Empire is very pleased to announce that the title track from the forthcoming Ural Thomas and the Pain LP The Right Time (out 9.28) has premiered at Downbeat. A tour in support of the record begins at the River Hops Festival in Hood River, OR on September 22nd.

"It's been 50 years since Ural Thomas was opening for Otis Redding and the Rolling Stones - he hasn't lost an ounce of that fire." - Afropunk

While Thomas released a few singles in the late 60's, played myriad show at the Apollo Theater, and performed alongside James Brown and Stevie Wonder, The Right Time is, in many respects, his debut full length. A developing artist at nearly eighty years old, for Thomas music has always been about bringing people together. "If we play for twenty people we cook it like it's twenty thousand" says Thomas. "If we make someone smile we're satisfied. It's all love and brotherhood. If folks listen to my record and feel that I'll feel very blessed."

"The Right Time gives Thomas the backing to let his creativity flow, along with his velvety vocal that oscillates easily from a shout to a croon." - OPB
