Australian musical legend and ARIA Hall of Fame inductee, Tina Arena, will headline ALTITUDE on Saturday 12 August 2017. ALTITUDE is the prestigious, annual, black tie gala event established to raise essential funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Western Australia (RFDS). In its fourth spectacular year, ALTITUDE will be held at Crown Perth in the new state-of-the-art Crown Ballroom at Crown Towers.

Tina Arena has been part of the fabric of Australian music and pop culture for the past 40 years. Her voice has sent shivers up the spines of three generations of music lovers from her early days on Young Talent Time, to her hugely successful debut album Strong as Steel, her incredible international success and ten times platinum Don't Ask (1994), the multi-platinum In Deep (1997), and followed up in 2001 with the critically acclaimed Just Me. Tina's era defying career also includes two best-selling French-language albums, two much-loved volumes of Songs of Love & Loss, the 2013 release of the platinum-selling Reset (her first album of new English language material in over 12 years) and Eleven in 2015. Recently, Arena released her new Greatest Hits & Interpretations double album which debuted at #2 on the ARIA Album Chart.

Supporting Arena is electro-house trio The Potbelleez, who will bring in the party late into the evening with their nostalgic dance tunes.

The gala will also see a special performance of the music of George Michael presented by the Perth Symphony Orchestra and the WAAPA Gospel Choir.

Tickets are on sale now from www.altitudeball.com.au

Presented by Pilatus Australia, the annual gala event will feature three-course fine dining, premium beverages, world-class service and the all important charity auction.

RFDS WA Chief Executive Officer, Grahame Marshall says:

"We are very excited that these wonderful Australian artists are performing at ALTITUDE - the RFDS has celebrated more than 80 years of operations in WA and demand for our services is continuing to increase, with our people responding by air to over 9,000 patients annually, nearly 20,000 remote clinic patients every year, and almost 40,000 patients by telehealth remote consultations.

We want to continue to be there for those living, working and travelling throughout Western Australia - whether they're in regional and remote areas, south west popular holiday spots like Margaret River, Broome in the North West or even Rottnest Island.

To ensure that we're still here responding to the needs of the people of WA for another 80 years at least, we need your help.

Supporting our fundraising ball will help with costs involved in replacing, maintaining, and fitting out the organisation's aircraft - and in purchasing the essential medical equipment required to save lives.

If you're a patient on board one of our aircraft it is the equivalent of being in an emergency department in a major hospital; it is an intensive care unit with a highly qualified doctor and nurse on board who are capable of managing any emergency.

RFDS aircraft are specially outfitted with the latest in medical and aviation technology and are flying intensive care units, operated by highly qualified medical staff and pilots who are the best of the best.

That is why every single person who buys a ticket to ALTITUDE is so important to us and our patients - because without your contribution we couldn't achieve the successful life-saving outcomes for our patients that we do,".

ALTITUDE 2017 promises Perth the ultimate high-end charity experience. With tables selling fast to the 2016 waitlist, tables of ten at the fundraiser are available now for only $3500 ($350 per person) at www.altitudeball.com.au

The highlight of the Perth social calendar, ALTITUDE will feature state-of-the-art audio visual, spectacular lighting and jaw-dropping performances.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service's mission is to provide excellence in emergency aero medical and primary health care services to rural and remote Australia. A forward thinking, innovative and iconic organisation, today in WA RFDS has six operating bases, a fleet of 16 aircraft, and a staff of around 300, providing life-saving services to over 60,000 patients last year alone.

RFDS WA urges the people of WA to support this vital life-saving organisation while enjoying a truly memorable evening. Tables of 10 are on sale now from the ALTITUDE website at www.altitudeball.com.au
