Theatre IV's 'Bremen Town Band' to Play The Alden in McLean, 10/11
Theatre IV of Richmond's musical production, "Bremen Town Band," will be presented at The Alden at the McLean Community Center for one showing only at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. Tickets are $15 for the general public, $10 for MCC tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
A menagerie of unlikely friends, including a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster, sets off in search of musical stardom in the German town of Bremen. Making their own kind of "oom-pah" music, along the way they manage to outwit a gang of robbers and find themselves a wonderful new home. Audience members will tap their toes at this delightful musical adaptation of the famous Grimm fairy tale. Book and lyrics are by Doug Jones; music is by Ron Barnett. The production is appropriate for children age 4 and older.
