The Magician Releases New Track LOVE BREAK Featuring French Vocals from Hamza

The Magician has unveiled his latest track, an ode to everlasting love featuring the French language vocals of Belgian rapper ?Hamza?.

The new single, released on the 30th March, is a lilting, summery slice of dancehall-tinged RnB featuring steel drums and a soft, bouncing bassline; a natural stylistic continuation of the sounds of ?'Las Vegas?', The Magician's most recent creative output. The track marked a slight change in musical direction for the Belgian producer, previously known for his bombastic pop hits with the likes of ?Lykke Li? and ?Years & Years?.

"I've been working in a lot of different studios, exploring different genres of music with some incredible people," ?said ?The Magician. ?"The result of which has reignited my passion to make music, and inspired me to share more love and emotions through it."

Part future-facing RnB, part classic French rap, ?Hamza hails from ?The Magician?'s native Belgium. He's been steadily increasing in popularity in the French music scene, with shows at Palais de Tokyo?'s eventsspace YoYo and a solo show at L'Olympia in Paris coming up. Speaking about his music, ?Pitchforksaid ?"Hamza makes instantly memorable music that transcends language and communicates feeling."

Having first experienced mainstream success with his European no.1 remix of ?Lykke Li?'s ?'I Follow Rivers' ?in 2012, ?The Magician?'s 2013 track '?Sunlight?' featuring the vocals of ?Olly Alexander ?from ?Years & Years?, peaked at #7 in both the Belgian and UK charts, garnering over 55 million combined streams in the process. With Top 10 hit status achieved, ?The Magician ?has spent time cultivating his own live events and record label aptly named '?POTION?' where new singles '?Together?' and '?Shy?' quickly followed, before his 2017 releases '?Tied Up?' with ?Julian Perretta? , and ?'Slow Motion'? with ?TCTS?.

The Belgian DJ has played at a diverse range of clubs including ?Pacha, Space, Hi?, Ushuaia and ?Amnesia ?in Ibiza. Since launching ?Potion?, he's brought the event series to ?Ministry of Sound, Showcase Paris, Exchange LA, Electric Brixton, New York's Webster Hall ?and last year, hosted his very own Potion stage at ?Tomorrowland. ?The release of 'Love Break' follows a busy ?Miami Music Weekfor ?The Magician?; he hosted a ?Potion ?showcase as well as playing at The Fool's Gold Showcase andKlingande?'s pool party.
