Some of the Rock-Pop world's most riveting anthems - "White Rabbit," "Sara," "We Built This City," and "Jane" - will ring out when the great STARSHIP featuring Mickey Thomas takes the Spencer Theater stage tonight, May 9th. The tunes will literally vibrate the hall, thanks to Mickey Thomas, the voice of Jefferson Starship from 1979-1984 and its successor group Starship, which he's personally owned and performed in as frontman for decades. The gold & multi-platinum producing Thomas, who was also the singer of the 70s hit "Fooled Around and Fell in Love," with the Elvin Bishop Group, keeps the spirit and sound of those former groups alive with his touring band. His Starship now includes the spot-on "White Rabbit" lead female vocals of Stephanie Calvert, and backup vocalists and instrumentalists John Roth on guitar, Jeff Adams on bass, Phil Bennett on keyboards and Darrell Verducsco on drums. But it is Thomas' soaring vocals that one will always associate with Starship's hits, and patrons can be certain that this intrepid rocker hits the high notes and the low notes with the same power and punch for which he first won acclaim. He is a master, dedicated to his craft of singing out anthems with heartfelt, penetrating spirit.

At their Spencer gig, Thomas and STARSHIP presents highlights from their latest release, Loveless Fascination, as well as tunes from deep within the band's catalogue of classics.

"We'll play songs from every record I had a hand in," says Thomas, promising early hits like "Find Your Way Back," as well as a medley of the group's earliest hits as Jefferson Airplane.

Note that every STARSHIP album released since 1979 has gone Gold, Platinum, or Multi-Platinum. You can expect Loveless Fascination to reach the stars, too!
