Songwriting Team Selda Sahin & Derek Gregor Make LA Rockwell: Table & Stage Debut Tonight
The award-winning New York-based songwriting team of Selda Sahin and Derek Gregor will mark their much-anticipated debut at Los Angeles' acclaimed venue, Rockwell: Table & Stage, tonight, April 21.
Sahin and Gregor are best known for writing the music for the sexy and dark 2014 indie musical short film, Grind, which won a number of awards and featured Broadway favorite Anthony Rapp (Rent, If/Then), Claire Coffee ("Grimm"), and Pasha Pellosie ("The Carrie Diaries").
The duo will bring their intricately crafted and captivating style of music to life through spectacular and intimately preserved live performances from some of Broadway's most distinguished vocal performers. On hand to perform are Eric Michael Krop, perhaps best known for starring in Broadway's Godspell; American Idol alums Natalie Weiss (Les Miserables, Everyday Rapture) and Devyn Rush; and boyishly handsome pop singer Brian Justin Crum (We Will Rock You, Next To Normal).
Also expected to perform are dynamic pop singer Gabrielle Taryn, powerhouse performer Kyra Selman, and prized vocalist Emily Schultheis.
Sahin and Gregor will share live versions of songs from Grind, as well as introduce some never-before-heard tunes. They will also unveil new music they have recently been recording in LA, and from their recent collaboration with Krop and the upcoming album, "Greater Things." The duo was just named a finalist in the 16th Annual Great American Song Contest for their pop anthem, "The Storm."
Rockwell: Table & Stage is located at 1714 N. Vermont Avenue. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy Rockwell's cuisine and cocktails. Please note that there is a two-item minimum.
