NYC rockers SKATERS have just released their WB 7" single debut "I Wanna Dance" (But I Don't Know How)" b/w "Armed," which is out and available now.
Through a collaborative vision, this video was created by rapper Young Dope and director Danilo Parra. The story follows a mysterious female character into an unknown and precarious environment. The character learns how to adapt to her setting through Dope's guidance and her own alien instinct. Once again, the video captures a very New York-centric feeland flow that complements SKATERS creative point of view.As previously announced, SKATERS will begin a series of live dates in their hometown of NYC tomorrow night at Mercury Lounge. West coast dates will be rescheduled in order for the band to finish their debut album to be released later this year. Prior to that an extensive U.K. tour has been confirmed where the band are amassing a loyal following very quickly. Michael Ian Cummings and Noah Rubin formed SKATERS in 2012, and spent a year trading demos between Los Angeles and London with guitarist Joshua Hubbard.
