Siren Festival Announce London Launch On 5th December 2018 At O2 Academy Islington

Siren Festival will take over the O2 Academy Islington on 5th December, for a special London preview of the festival's fifth edition in July 2019.

Siren Festival in London presents a carefully curated line-up of home-grown emerging acts with a global reach including Dua Lipa's favourite Italian trapper Young Signorino, critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Any Other, post-punk outfit Gomma, alongside British guitar-driven quartet Hunter & The Bear, with a special DJ set from one of Italy's biggest musical export Cosmo.

The international music and culture festival, takes place over 4 days in the beautiful city of Vasto, on the Italian coast. Combining alternative contemporary artists who demolish genre barriers from indie, alt, acoustic and experimental to electronic music and DJ sets, the festival's lineup features over 30 artists performing across 5 stages in a variety of picturesque places all around the city. Previous line ups included International Artists such as The National, James Blake, Mogwai, John Hopkins, P.I.L, Slowdive, 2manydjs and Thurston Moore. In addition to the diverse music program, Siren offers fabulous local cuisine and wine tastings, historic architecture and charming coastal views, making the event one of the most captivating festivals that Europe has to offer.

Cosmo is the chaos theory applied to pop music. The Italian music tradition in a dance, psychedelic, and modern key. The singer-songwriter already proved himself to be a tour de force on the international live circuit, selling out Birthdays in London, Kantine Am Berghain in Berlin last February, in support of his most recent album 'Cosmotronic', out on Italian indie stalwart 42 Records. With a gold record in Italy and over one million streams on Spotify, Cosmo will bring his knowledge of sticky electronic dance beats, closing the night with an exclusive DJ set. www.facebook.com/cosmoitaly/

Described by The Huffington Post as "the heroes British rock needs right now", Hunter & The Bear have had a massive two years of touring and festivals, a sold out 15 date UK tour last year, with Glasgow's King Tuts selling out in less than four hours, and the release of the crowd enchanting 'Skin Tight' last November, the band recently sold out their biggest UK show ever at The Scala in October. Continuing their momentum, the band joins the bill ahead of their Italian debut at Siren Festival next summer. https://www.hunterandthebear.co.uk

Controversial trapper Young Signorino took the internet by storm with his single 'Mmh ha ha ha', his sleek video amassed over 24 million plays on YouTube, catapulting him at the front of the new Italian trap scene. The 19 years old artist has been debated among Italian scholars and linguists for his onomatopeia lyrics, some compared him to Futurist poet Marinetti for deconstructing sounds and words, nullifing their contents and meanings. Seductive as nihilism itself, Young Signorino speaks directly to the Generation Z who made Lil Peep the symbol of the new rap scene, grew up on 4chan creating vaporwave memes and wears Rick Owens, Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy and Raf Simons. https://youtu.be/K9bf4PT-aEk

Prodigal singer-songwriter Any Other, has already made a name for herself outside the dazzling italian shores, playing a string of international festivals including Primavera Sound and Repperbahn Festival. With a recent UK tour under her belt, the critically acclaimed artist's second album 'Two Geography' - out on 42 Records - has seen support of from the likes of The 405, Drowned In Sound and The Line of Best Fit. Having recently completed her first UK tour, Any Other will take her live band to European biggest showcase festival Eurosonic in January 2019. www.facebook.com/anyotherband/

Post-punk outfit Gomma 90s influenced cinematic music put the band at the fore front of the new indie italian scene. Their critically acclaimed debut album 'Toska' and the more recent EP 'Vacanza' - recorded and produced in collaboration with Red Bull Studio Mobile - certainly have an international draw, recently confirmed by their appearance last August at Sziget Festival, one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe. www.facebook.com/gommaband/
