Singer-songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff celebrates the release of his latest critically acclaimed album, Falling Faster Than You Can Run, by extending his nationwide tour. Rateliff will tour alongside English band Dry the Riverthroughout October including dates at New York's Bowery Ballroom and L.A.'s The Troubadour. See below for full details.

Furthermore, Raetliff recently performed lead track "Still Trying" at an intimate Esquire session on a London rooftop. Watch it here http://bit.ly/1qiON9Y.

Critics hail Falling Faster than You Can Run (out now on mod y vi Records):

"Understanding of hand-played instruments in intimate spaces is meticulous and startling: the loneliness surrounding a quietly picked guitar, the liberating thrust as an electric guitar suddenly breaks in and the hollowness it can leave behind."-The New York Times

"On his terrific new album... this singer-songwriter zeroes in on heartache with a meticulous attention to detail."-Boston Globe

"Rateliff lays his feelings out with an honest outlooks in his lyrics and emotional vocal delivery
that can go from whisper to wail in seconds."-Relix

"This second release showcases Rateliff's abilities as an emotionally moving songwriter."-Paste

The album was produced by Rateliff and Jamie Mefford. Of the new music, Rateliff explains, "Falling Faster Than You Can Run is a collection of songs I wrote over a couple years during which I was touring a lot by myself. Even when it also made me feel over-exposed, it was a way to maintain some sense of myself through staying connected to my own experiences as an actual human being."

Rateliff's musical family and upbringing in a rural Missouri church laid the foundation for his soulful, folk-laced sound. Though he considers himself "a poor boy from Missouri," Rateliff relocated to his current home, Denver, at the age of 19. His 2010 album, In Memory of Loss, propelled him to the forefront of Denver's tight-knit folk scene, and The New York Times dubbed him "a local folk pop hero." Memory of Loss' success landed Rateliff gigs in the U.S. and abroad touring with acts such as Mumford & Sons, Deer Tick and The Lumineers.
