Royal Blood Return to No. 1 with New Single 'I Only Lie When I Love You'

Award-winning British rock band Royal Blood have returned to the top of the Rock Airplay chart with their single "I Only Lie When I Love You", making it the first chart-topper of 2018 at the format. It marks the band's third No. 1 on the chart and 5th trip to the Top 5, solidifying Royal Blood's reign at rock radio.

Royal Blood's latest album How Did We Get So Dark? was released last June on Warner Bros. Records and debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. The album has accumulated more than 30 million streams to date across Apple Music and Spotify and sold more than 250,000 copies globally.

Praise for How Did We Get So Dark? includes USA Today: "a monstrously good album," Rolling Stone: "a taut, smoldering album from a pair that has distilled rock to its essence," NME: "the sound of modern masters honing their craft," Entertainment Weekly: "darkly thrilling," Forbes: "Royal Blood ready to make leap to rock stardom on second album," and much more.

Royal Blood spent the latter half of 2017 supporting Queens of the Stone Age at arenas across North America and will join them for additional dates in 2018 starting on February 17th at The Forum in Los Angeles before heading out for a headlining U.S. tour on May 28th at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY.
