The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and WYEP present singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Rosanne Cash, in concert with guitarist, John Leventhal, today, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 7:30 p.m, Byham Theater, 101 Sixth Street, downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District.

Performing since she was 18 years old, the 59 year old Memphis born, California bred, current New York resident, draws on her southern roots in her smash-hit album The River and the Thread. This album, her first in four years, garnered three GRAMMY Awards on February 8, 2015, including "Best Americana Album," "Best American Roots Song," and "Best American Roots Performance," the latter two for her single "A Feather's Not a Bird." This song was co-written and produced by her husband, John Leventhal.

With a career spanning several decades, Rosanne Cash has found commercial success in not just the country music genre, but also as a crossover artist drawing upon blues, folk, and pop influences.

Cash has been nominated for 14 GRAMMY Awards during her stellar career, and was honored with her first GRAMMY in 1985 for her smash hit "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me." Many of her songs have made the 21 Top 40 country singles charts, ascending to the # 1 spot on 11 occasions.

Additionally, Ms. Cash has authored a memoir, a collection of short fiction, and a children's book, and is passionate about her work with various charities.
