Rock legend ALICE COOPER returns to South Bend for his first local show in 4 years, tonight, July 2, at the historic Morris Performing Arts Center. Showtime is 8:00 p.m.

A pioneer in theatrical rock shows, Alice's stage show includes guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood and boa constrictors. Alice Cooper's live shows launched him to stardom in the late 1960s in his hometown of Detroit, and he continues to tour the world to enthusiastic audiences.

In 1971, he released "Eighteen" and followed that up the next two years with "School's Out" and "Billion Dollar Babies." In 1975, Alice brought his well-regarded theatrical presentation of "Welcome To My Nightmare" to Notre Dame's Joyce Center.

In recent years, Alice Cooper has become a cultural icon, with appearances in movies, the television show "That 70s Show", tv commercials, Wrestlemania Three, and has hosted celebrity golf tournaments in his adopted hometown of Phoenix. His syndicated radio show "Nights With Alice Cooper" is heard on over 100 radio stations worldwide. In 2011, Alice Cooper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
