With outspoken fans including Neil Young and Anohni, New York City based activist, performer, and author Reverend Billy is joined by The Stop Shopping Choir to premiere their video for Fabulous Bad Weather on Brooklyn Vegan. Fabulous Bad Weather is the first single off of the group's upcoming album The Earth Wants YOU, which will be accompanied by a book of the same title.

The video, directed by Spool, serves as a visual representation of the theme of the song and acts as a call to action, skewering Wall Street's response to Hurricane Sandy. Showcasing vibrant images of New York City and lively scenes of the Stop Shopping Choir, the video also highlights singer Laura Newman, who also serves as the co-composer of the song. Newman's gorgeous vocal turn elevates what could simply be viewed at first listen as a quirky protest song, into the realm of true art.

Reverend Billy (aka Bill Talen) has spent the better part of 21st century preaching on the evils of consumerism and the perilous state of the environment. Reverend Billy, a self anointed preacher and wild-eyed televangelist, and The Stop Shopping Choir, a radical performance community of post apocalyptic shouters (Grammy winners! Broadway stars!) risk arrest staging nonviolent dramatic actions all over the world.

Over the years The Stop Shopping Choir has performed in lobbies of banks, The Christmas Parade at Disneyland, and Monsanto's corporate HQ as well as many popular theater and music spaces. Catch Reverend Billy & The Stop Shopping Choir live at the gloriously DIY Market Hotel on 4/10 for a journey like no other.

Tickets available HERE.
