Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a new series of North American shows that have been added to their upcoming "I'm With You World Tour" including Detroit's Joe Louis Arena on Friday, June 1 at 8 p.m.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are touring in support of their current album I'm With You, which has received a Grammy nomination for "Rock Album of the Year." In addition, the band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April.

Tickets ($42.50 and $62.50) go on sale Friday, January 27 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, LiveNation.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (800) 745-3000. For additional information, call (313) 471-6611.
