RICKY NELSON REMEMBERED Set for Raue Center Tonight

Celebrate the life and music of musician Ricky Nelson at Raue Center at 8 p.m. tonight, May 21, 2016.

"Ricky Nelson Remembered" is a unique multimedia event featuring the music of Ricky Nelson.

Matthew and Gunnar of NELSON will take the stage to remember their late father who, among other things, had the first number one hit on Billboard with "Poor Little Fool." Additionally, between 1957 and 1973, the Rock and Roll pioneer, Ricky Nelson, had 53 songs on Billboards Top 100 with hits like "Travelin Man" "Believe What You Say" and "A Teenagers Romance." Ricky's flair for rockabilly, natural ability to sing heartfelt ballads, and familial connection to the popular television show The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet allowed him to become a pop icon who received a Golden Globe nomination while co-starring with John Wayne in Rio Bravo.

In addition to the music, "Ricky Nelson Remembered" also includes never before seen video footage of the Nelson family as well as interviews with celebrities influenced by Ricky Nelson. The show appeals to a wide audience and multiple generations while celebrating the life of America's original "Teen Idol." The year 2016 marks the 31st anniversary of Ricky Nelson's passing in a tragic New Year's Eve plane crash.

As the youngest of the only rock and roll dynasty in history to have number one hits for each generation, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson bring their triple platinum selling talent to honor their father. Their 1990 rock debut produced four charting singles, including the #1 "(I Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection" and #6 title track, along with "More Than Ever" (#14) and "Only Time Will Tell" (#28). Last year, things came full circle, as Matthew and Gunnar's "This Christmas" gave NELSON its first Top 25 single in two decades, going #4 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts.
