Popincourt (Jigsaw Records) from Paris, France debut their new single "The Brilliant Missing Link", a mix of European mod-pop and American power pop with nods to Smithereens, the Jam, and Stiff records ala Lowe and Costello. "After several years of collaborations, Paris based Popincourt has decided to make his own singular musical mark ... A Pop Rock cocktail, fresh and original, influenced by Paul Weller, Ray Davies, Costello and Joe Jackson. Despite these inspirations, Popincourt sounds modern and not retro. The songs are beautifully arranged and the pro musicians play brilliantly." Auguste Marshal. The single was recorded during the "A New Dimension To Modern Love" album sessions with Ken Stringfellow (Posies, Big Star, REM) and Hervé Bouétard (Bertrand Burgalat, AS Dragon).
