Photo Flash: BWW Coverage SXSW 2018: Buddy Holly Educational Foundation Fundraiser during SXSW

During the day at SXSW 2018 Conference and Festivals, attendees enjoy the many panels and sessions available to learn more about topics of interest. In the evenings, we know there are many events occurring including music showcases, movies, parties and informal get-togethers. On Tuesday evening, there was a private event sponsored by a long-time attendee couple. This event wasn't as ordinary as one would think it might be. This event was, in fact, an opportunity to showcase great talent at SXSW and give them more exposure. But, along with that comes the fact that included in the lineup were Grammy Award winners and nominees, CEO's and more. The mayor of Lafayette, Louisiana, Hon. Joel Robideaux, was even in attendance. It was also a fundraiser for the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation started to honor Buddy's legacy and for his wife, Maria Elena Holly's dream of seeing young people a chance at a musical education to include songwriting, production, arranging, orchestration and performance. This foundation was started to help the many young musicians find a place to share their talents and continue on to higher education. Here are some highlights of the evening.
