Variety reports that E! has elected not to order a second season of the original docu-series MARIAH'S WORLD. The news comes as no surprise as the network had promoted the show as an "event" series, hinting that it would not continue beyond its intial season. In a statement to Variety, an E! spokesperson said, "E!'s 'Mariah's World' was an eight-part event that chronicled her 2016 world tour. It was exciting to bring our viewers inside the private world of one of today's most iconic stars as she returned to the stage last year."

E!'s MARIAH'S WORLD gave fans, viewers and "lambs" alike a peek into the life of the award-winning singer, songwriter and icon Mariah Carey. During the eight-part event, Mariah was faced with the overwhelming demands of her time as she launched her world tour, planned a wedding and was a loving doting mommy to her twins. "Mariah's World" premiered on E! and Bravo Sunday, December 4th, 2016, with subsequent episodes airing on E! Sundays at 9pm ET/PT. The docu-series also aired globally on E!'s 15 international channels across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, AFRICA and Latin America.

"Mariah's World" was produced by Bunim/Murray productions in association with Magic Carpet Productions. Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins, Farnaz Farjam and Chris Ray are Executive Producers for Bunim/Murray Productions. Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov serve as Executive Producers.
