Nominees to Hit the Stage at the JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards Presented by SOCAN

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced today the JUNO Award nominees confirmed to perform live "under the stars" at the Vancouver Convention Centre, on Saturday, March 24 at The 47th JUNO Gala Dinner and Awards Presented by SOCAN.

The exclusive industry ceremony, hosted by CBC q's Tom Power will honour artists and industry leaders with 36 JUNO Awards. This year's special achievement awards will also be presented at the event, including the 2018 International Achievement Award (Arcade Fire), Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award (Denise Donlon), MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award presented by the Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation (Jim Cuddy), and the Humanitarian Award (Gary Slaight).

The night will feature electrifying live performances by 2018 JUNO nominees Clairmont The Second (Rap Recording of the Year), Iskwé (Indigenous Music Album of the Year sponsored by APTN), James Barker Band (Breakthrough Group of the Year Sponsored by FACTOR, the Government of Canada, and Canada's Private Radio Broadcasters and Country Album of the Year), Terra Lightfoot (Adult Alternative Album of the Year) and one of the 2018 Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class winners, Caveboy.

CBC Music will live stream the event at 6 p.m. PT (9 p.m. ET) via CBCMusic.ca/JUNOS and CBC Music's Facebook and YouTube pages, allowing music fans across the nation to get an intimate look into the celebrations.

JUNO TV will also offer live stream channels at junotv.ca with backstage access to the media room cam and portrait studio cam and the JUNO TV Apple Music Lounge hosted by YouTuber Sam Sutherland and The Peak's Casey-Jo Loos, giving audiences the opportunity to listen in on interviews and artist Q&As. The live streams are funded by CreativeBC and the Province of British Columbia and 102.7 TH.

The 47th annual JUNO Awards and JUNO Week 2018 will be hosted in Vancouver from March 19 through March 25, 2018, culminating in The JUNO Awards, on Sunday, March 25, at Rogers Arena, broadcast live nationwide 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET on CBC, CBC Radio and globally on cbcmusic.ca/junos.
