Nadia Nair Reveals Gorgeous Double-Single Release

Following on from the beautifully soothing release of her previous production 'K', Swedish songstress Nadia Nair has unveiled her stunning new couplet of tracks, 'Bricks & Sandstorms', and 'Moon'.

Both tracks showcase Nadia's rich and emotive tones in their unique ways, with the upbeat, cymbal-clad A-side 'Bricks & Sandstorms' offering a more forceful energy. Telling Nadia's story of identity and self-acceptance, the production explores her journey towards loving herself in her own skin. "The track is open, honest and raw..." adds Nadia. "I still managed to paint it colourfully in the ways I am drawn to do, but with a less mystical meaning and with an emotional spill I want to penetrate with."

Meanwhile, the B-side single 'Moon' is a more melancholy, down-tempo ballad that demonstrates the Gothenburg-based vocalist's soulful elements. "The song is all about love not being the answer in an affair which is damned by fate," she explains. "One person is constantly closing doors and accepting their own character, but the other... is left outside."

Providing rich layers of melancholy, Nadia's vocal range is accompanied by the chords of her very poetic and lyrical abilities, bringing a refreshingly raw nature to her work. Labelled by Red Bull as, "the most interesting pop music you've heard since Nair's fellow Swede, Robyn", the soulful artist has previously written for many talents, including Skip Marley, SEEB, and Steve Angello.

With her Scandinavian roots matched against her Malaysian-Indian heritage, Nadia allows these sounds to mingle, constructing her own drops of passion into every record. The release of both 'Bricks & Sandstorms' and 'Moon' precede Nadia's upcoming gigs in her home country, andLondon's The Waiting Room.
