This evening, Jamaican pianist and melodica player Monty Alexander brings his trio to Ozawa Hall for an evening of Caribbean flavored jazz. Active professionally for more than 50 years, Mr. Alexander has been incredibly prolific, releasing more than 60 albums as a leader; the most recent, Harlem-Kingston Express, was released in 2011. He has also performed with many of jazz music's great legends, including Dizzy Gillespie, Frank Sinatra, Benny Golson, and Oscar Peterson, and has explored other musical idioms, including a series of reggae recordings in the 1990s and early 2000s. http://www.bso.org/Performance/Detail/48906/
