Miko & The Musket Release New Single, 'On Your Mark'

Up and coming New York seven piece, Miko and The Musket are gearing up to release their forthcoming self-titled EP in September, and are excited to announce the arrival of their first single from the release, "On Your Mark," which debuted on No Depression.
On Your Mark is, as No Depression describes it, "an infectious combination of jazz infused indie-folk, with a subtle R&B undertones," that is..."impossible to ignore."Due for release this coming September, the self-titled EP is a journey into the world that is, Miko and The Musket. Fronted by principal songwriter, Miko de Leon, and comprised of Mike Steinmetz (lead guitar), Peter Longofono (bass), Brandon Ellis (Cello), Chris Kinlow (drums/percussion), Molly McAdoo (vocals), and Lannon Killea (vocals), the EP displays how the septet have found a way to incorporate a variety of musical nuances into a single collaborative outfit. "A fusion of Fleetwood Mac & The Polyphonic Spree," is Miko's response to the penultimate band question, what do you sound like?
Their potent sound has since gained the support of World Cafe Live, with the band winning Best Band of Philadelphia in 2012, after the release of their first EP, The Georgia Sessions, not to mention features in the likes of Interview Magazine, Huffington Post and Large Hearted Boy, Miko and The Musket are excited to show audiences how they have progressed.
In anticipation, of their new release, they'll be squeezing into a van, hitting the road, and bringing their emphatic and energetic live show to audiences with a slew of dates across the East Coast. With a sound so big, it can only be translated into a hypnotic and colorful live show, they'll be hard to miss!
