Melodic Alt-Rock Band Benvenue Releases New Single & Music Video DAYS TO YEARS

Melodic alternative rock band BENVENUE is announcing the release of "Days To Years," their latest track and music video; watch HERE. On it, the Bay Area band is challenging the listener to look within themselves, much like their previous single "Wake Up Now" which was also co-produced by Jason Mater (Disney Music Publishing) and has over 33,000 YouTube views.

"One thing we've realized is there is absolutely no substitution for lost time, especially when going through difficult experiences," the band shared with PureGrainAudio, who premiered the video. "As we get older, days to years happens faster, but time also becomes way more meaningful. We seem to embrace life's beauty whether good or bad as a learning experience.

"The inspiration for writing 'Days to Years' stemmed from déjà vu. The challenge is sometimes living in the moment and embracing it. When you finally realize the lesson was for yourself, it always seems to come years later and that's when you truly become free. We chose this song to be our next single because we feel it's completely relatable to any person. The listener should sink into the beginning guitar swells and embrace the song's journey."

Segueing from staggering riffs into soaring melodies without ever breaking stride, BENVENUE [pronounced ben-vuh-new] conjures hard-hitting grooves and anthem like hooks, musically cultivating a style that is reminiscent of Incubus, with a socially-conscious agenda like Rage Against The Machine, while brandishing its own fire.

The band first began in 2004 when Francis Blay (vocals) and Sid Slater (guitar)met while attending UC Berkeley, playing for Cal football, and began writing songs together. After graduation and moving to Los Angeles for a short time, Blay and Slater settled back in Northern California and solidified the lineup with their Cal teammate Erik 'Erob' Robertson (bass) and Sid's childhood friend, Moon (drums) in 2008.

Their 2010 EP Jean Elizabeth received positive marks from rock music critics. Following a show at Los Angeles' Viper Room, MetalAssault.com raved, "These alternative metallers showed Los Angeles a performance not to forget. This band definitely had a great deal of integrity going on in their music, combining elements such as Incubus with real melodic tones, chords and hard heavy riffs similar to Rage Against The Machine. Following their years-long public hiatus, BENVENUE is gearing up to announce live shows and release a series of new singles in the coming months.
