Massey Hall Presents Donovan Woods at Danforth Music Hall

Donovan Woods ' forthcoming album Both Ways (April 20, Meant Well ) is a study in contrasts. His masterful perspective on the push-and-pull in relationships has led to JUNO Award nominations, a place on the 2016 Polaris Music Prize long list, and a catalogue that has accrued nearly 45 million streams.

Woods is also a notable Nashville writer with credits by Billy Currington, Charles Kelley, Tim McGraw and Charlie Worsham. NPR Music stated, "There are very few writers who can make you laugh and break your heart in the same song." No Depression noted that Woods' style is "as fresh and captivating as any out there."

No stranger to the Toronto stage, having headlined several sold out performances and most recently performing as special guest to k.d. lang, Woods returns with full band the Opposition. Special guest Wild Rivers will open the night with their immersive folk-pop originals.
