Martina McBride to Bring THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS to Minneapolis' State Theatre, 12/6

Legendary country recording artist and Grammy Award-winner Martina McBride brings her The Joy of Christmas Tour to Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. In her State Theatre debut, the four-time Country Music Association (CMA) "Female Vocalist of the Year" will perform everything from Christmas classics like "Let It Snow" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" to hymns like "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "O Holy Night" as well as many of her country hits. A three-time Academy of Country Music "Top Female Vocalist" and a Grammy Award-winner, McBride has sold more than 18 million albums and garnered numerous #1 hits including "Wild Angels," "A Broken Wing," "I Love You" and "Blessed." She was also the special guest on George Strait's final tour, The Cowboy Rides Away Tour in 2013

"This is such a fun and special tour to do," McBride said. "I love bringing Christmas to life onstage and putting everyone in the Christmas spirit. My favorite part of the show is the Q&A where I go into the audience. You never know what is going to happen, and the spontaneity is something I really enjoy."

A 12-piece string section will accompany McBride and a video screen depicting scenes of the season will complement her versions of traditional and contemporary holiday classics.

Martina McBride will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, 55403). Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 and range from $54.50 to $64.50 depending on seating preference. All prices include applicable facility fees.
