Los Lobos, the multiple Grammy Award-winning rock band best known for their hit version of "La Bamba," is returning to Raue Center For The Arts in 2018! Don't miss this Latin-infused show at 8 p.m. on April 7, 2018!

"Los Lobos is back with us at Raue Center by audience demand," says Raue Center Board President, Tim Paul. "The energy generated by the iconic band fills the theater each time they perform. We are looking forward to another great show!"

The band released their debut album, "Just Another Band from East L.A." in 1974. In the nearly four decades that have passed, they have repeatedly disproven that title - Los Lobos isn't "just another" anything, and has consistently evolved artistically without losing sight of their humble roots.

Los Lobos were already East L.A. legends, Sunset Strip regulars and a Grammy Award-winning band by the time they recorded their major label debut, "How Will The Wolf Survive?" in 1984. Three decades, two more Grammys, a worldwide smash single and thousands of performances across the globe later, Los Lobos is still surviving quite well.

Los Lobos released their most recent album, "Gates of Gold," in 2015, marking their first full-length studio album since 2010. The East L.A. rockers continue to jam with the same raw intensity they had when they began in 1973 and continue to deliver their powerful, diverse and distinctive sound, which blends rock, Tex-Mex, country, blues, folk and R&B with traditional Mexican folk music like norteño.

Los Lobos is entering their fifth decade as the humblest of musical icons, having racked up countless accolades for their uncompromising artistry. With three Grammys and the respect and admiration of their musical peers, the band still hearkens back to their beginnings as "the soundtrack of the barrio" and remains a cultural touchstone for a community.

"I am always amazed by their versatility and their new work. 'Gates of Gold' is packed with musical adventures, but don't get me wrong, I love the classics too," says Raue Center Executive Director, Richard Kuranda. "This is one of the best nights of live music you can participate in!"

Tickets start at $58 and may be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake. For more information, visit rauecenter.org.
