Fast-rising singer/songwriter Lisa Dawn Miller - the daughter of late famed Motown songwriter Ron Miller - is kicking off the holiday season with a beautiful original track, "A Miracle," dedicated to her beloved niece who has autism.
Releasing just in time for the holidays on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube and Spotify, the song is written by Lisa and her songwriting/producing partner, Mark Matson for The Colossal Nerve, Inc. "I was so inspired to write this song for my niece, Angelique," Lisa said. "She has Asperger's Syndrome and many other medical issues. Her life has been an inspiration to our entire medical community because she wasn't supposed to live beyond a few days. Today, she is 23 years old and brings so much joy to all those who know her." Lisa continues, "When I asked Angelique how she was able to get through the many surgeries she has had to endure, she said she has several imaginary friends who have been with her since she was a child. She told me that they give her strength and are always with her," Miller continued. "In this world, so full of bullies who won't be nice to others who are different, Angelique found love and strength from within and with her imaginary friends. If all of us could have such loving, caring friends who didn't judge us, the world would be a much better place. 'A Miracle' is not about the challenges Angelique has had to face, but rather, it is about hope, inspiration and kindness because Angelique's message is a positive one."Videos
