On the heels of her debut album Electric Love released June 30th on Concierge Records, bicoastal pop starlet Lily McQueen shares a new video for "Say Something" today with BlackBook. Directed by Joe Nankin (The xx, M83, Purity Ring), the video pays homage to the early MTV years, depicting McQueen and her band hard at work in the studio.

Just as the new album showcases her eclectic 80's-tinged sound, the video features the same vintage elements. She comments: "I love watching footage where you see bands behind the scenes. We were really inspired by Womack and Womack's music video for 'Teardrops' and The Band's 'The Last Waltz.' We wanted to make something that felt classic to match the tone of the song and also showcase my friends who have all played a role in helping me make this record."

Exploring themes of heartache and longing, each song Electric Love exudes an electric fervor that can transport even the most jaded to wistful memories of first loves and summer nights. The effervescent yet grounded pop project traces McQueen's ability to be vulnerable in the face of heartache and in doing so find her strength. Following her acclaimed 2015 debut EP, the album sees Lily McQueen emerge with her most artistically honest work to date. Fans in New York can catch her live on 7/9 at Baby's All Right!
