Producer, studio owner, engineer and songwriter Jono Manson's recent album, The Slight Variations, now has its first video. The clip for the contemplative track, "Wildflower" debuted at Elmore Magazine last week and shares a message of appreciattion.
The video follows a father so engrossed in his work, which he needs to do in order to support his young family, that he has barely any time to be with them. When Jono read the treatment from the directors, he said to himself, "Damn! These kids have been spying on me... this is the story of my life these days."

As Jono notes, he's definitely keeping busy, with his new album, shows and his studio, The Kitchen Sink. Located in his hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico, the studio has long been a recording destination for artists, producers and commercial clients, hosting everyone from
T Bone Burnett and
Amanda Palmer to Tom Russell.
The Slight Variations is a record that's literally been a lifetime in the making. The album is an amalgamation of ideas and genres that span Manson's four-plus decades in the music industry, a time that's seen the musician lauded equally as a songwriter, performer, sideman, recording engineer and producer-as well as a godfather of the New York music scene of the mid-1980s that produced the likes of Joan Osborne,
Blues Traveler and the Spin Doctors.
Later this month, he joins his old friend
John Popper for a NYE run of dates with Brothers Keeper. Jono has co-written and produced both Popper and Brothers Keeper's last albums and a full list of dates can be found below.
