The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC), the international songwriting contest open to both amateur and professional songwriters, will accept submissions for the Session I contest until June 15, 2015.

12 grand prize winners and 36 finalists will be announced on September 1, 2015

Contest entry fees help support the non-profit John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. Featuring over $300,000 in cash awards and prizes, the John Lennon Songwriting Contest provides songwriters with the opportunity to get their music heard.

New for 2015, the JLSC is proud to welcome Flea (The Red Hot Chili Peppers), Grammy Award-winner producer Noel "Detail" Fisher (Beyoncé, Drake, Lil Wayne), and alt-rockers American Authors to the Executive Panel of Judges. Other noteworthy judges for the contest include George Clinton, Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless), Prince Royce, 311, Fergie (The Black Eyed Peas) and more. Notable past winners include Grammy nominee Meghan Trainor, American Authors, Nasri Atweh (lead singer/songwriter of the band Magic!), Lake Street Drive, Gaby Moreno and Eliza Callahan (of the band Jack + Eliza).
