John Lennon has become the first Beatle available for listening via Spotify. The Beatles collection, as well as music from Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr are all, however, still unavailable on the widely popular music streaming service.

According to Showbiz411, Yoko Ono seems to have come to some sort of arrangement with Spotify regarding payment for pre-1972 recordings. The deal seems to be a smart one, too, as music streaming is quickly taking over as the number one means of listening to music, ahead of CD buying and digital downloads.

The Beatles music collection, now dominated by iTunes, will probably not be around for Spotify streaming any time soon.

John Lennon rose to worldwide fame as a founding member of The Beatles, the most successful popular music band in history. After the breakup of The Beatles in 1969, Lennon began producing his own music with wife Yoko Ono, and again found success writing songs such as 'Imagine,' 'Give Peace a Chance' and 'Working Class Hero.'
