Holy Ghost! Announce New LP on West End Records

Holy Ghost!, the NYC-based duo of Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel, have confirmed news of a third album coming later this year on West End Records exclusively via Pitchfork. It will be the first full-length album of original music to be released on the iconic NYC disco label in more than 30 years.

The as-yet-untitled release is Holy Ghost!'s first full-length LP since 2013's Dynamics(DFA). It will include the group's recent shimmering single "Anxious" plus the sweeping two-part epic "Epton On Broadway (Part I & Part II)" (out tomorrow on all DSPs). The track's title is a nod to longtime Holy Ghost! collaborator Alex Epton (Neon Indian, David Byrne) and Bob Marley's "Reggae on Broadway". It features backing vocals from Sinkane's Ahmed Gallab.

"Lyrically, 'Epton On Broadway' is a bit of a choose your own adventure, explains Holy Ghost! frontman Alex Frankel. "But to me: The verses are lamenting the end of a really fun era - "All my favorite places closed" - "nostalgia for the laughs and the afterglow" - "making eyes with youth" etc.... But the chorus addresses that we all actually want something less immediately entertaining but ultimately, well ideally, more sustainably fun. Sheesh. When you start talking about fun in relationship to sustainability you know you're well into your 30's... so be it."

The forthcoming LP showcases a period of transition and creativity that now finds Holy Ghost! at the top of their game.
